Frontend and Engine Compartment
Here are some shots of the engine compartment, inner fenders, torque boxes, etc, click for a larger view:
As stated on the main page, the s-tube, heat-shield, snorkel and smog are missing. The nice thing is that
air cleaner and flapper are there which would run some serious change on their own. Cap, wires, belts, hoses
radiator, battery, etc are new this week.
Here are some shots of the left side cowl and torque boxes. All four inner fenders are in really nice shape
and the frame rails themselves seem free of any work or damage. The crude welding of the left side torque
box is visible below.
Here are some shots of the right side cowl and torque boxes. This is the worst part of the car where they
repaired the damage to the cowl by pulling it crudely. The repairs to the torque boxes leave something to be
desired too. The radiator support is in good shape.
Take note of how nice the left and right side of the front grill are (not the center). I wouldn't be surpised
if they were NOS.
Note that everything in the front suspenssion is new.
