Exterior Sheet Metal
Here are some shots of the exterior sheet metal, click for a larger view:
Overall the exterior sheet metal is probably in the best shape of anything on the car. The hood looks like
it is NOS. The front fenders are really really nice. Other than the surface rust shown below from not being
properly primed the doors are nice. The trunk is nice and the valences are in good shape. The rear quarters
have been replaced. They split them about 3/4s of the way up the side. I wasn't planning on replacing them as I thought
the job was o.k. - see the picture of the drivers side door jamb below. There is one ding in the panel behind the hood on the corner. Also, the passenger side rocker is dented
as shown below.
Here is that dent in the right rocker panel.
First picture shows the door jamb and the quarter seam. Second picture is inside the trunk and shows
how they seamed the new quarters about 3/4 up.
