Reminder for Jill's gathering & the Sept. 10th, 2011 - Road Race

Hello to all, Last month, I sent out the below e-mail detailing my adventure into another road race. September 10th, the date of the road race is coming fast and wanted to remind all of Jill's family and friends about this event. Remember it is a remembrance get together and is "NOT" a find raiser. So, come and join us on this occasion and bring with your memories and experiences you had with Jill to share with the group. After the event we will meet at Funky Murphy's at 305 Shrewsbury Street for app's and beverages. The attached remembrance will appear in the September 11th telegram. I'm sure you all are aware that come this September 9th will mark the 10th anniversary of Jill's death. We all have our own "special" memories of Jill and I do as well. Early this year, I was thinking of what I can do to bring together Jill's family and friends on this occasion. Back in the day, I used to run in The Fallon Clinic 5 mile road race to raise monies for Jill's scholarship fund but had to retire after some knee problems. Well, "RRB" (Retired Running Bob) is coming out of retirement and will run in "The Canal Diggers 5K Road Race" on Saturday September 10th. The event is sponsored by The Worcester Hibernia Cultural Center and its Fiddlers' Green Pub & Restaurant located at 19 Temple Street Worcester,ma ( across from St. John's Church and just off of Green Street. The race itself starts at 11:00AM ( I plan to be there by 10AM) and they do have a fitness walk at10:45AM. This is not a fund raiser, as you all have been extra supportive for the past 10 years, but a chance to get together as Jill's family and friends to remember and share those great memories that she gave us. Come join me in the "run" or just come to enjoy the day with us. Thanks for all your past financial support and more importantly your emotional support. So bottom line is "RRB" is back on the track, has been in training and will make the running event one more time. Bring pictures and your personal stories about Jill to share.
