SHORT ROMANCE STORIES AT THE WILD ROSE PRESS

MISS DANFORTH'S BIG ADVENTURE (Regency Romance). Miss Miriam Danforth yearns for adventure, excitement and true love, but as the eldest of four girls, she knows duty must trump her heart's desire. She has reluctantly agreed to a marriage of convenience to a wealthy Earl's son, and is scheduled to meet the 'dull toad' that very evening. On her last free afternoon, Miriam heads to her favorite book shop determined to escape her cares, if only for a little while, in a rousing adventure novel. But the adventure comes in human form when she falls, quite literally, upon a dashing young man who seems to offer her everything she could hope for. Except security. What begins as a simple flirtation becomes so much more, and Miriam must decide if she will risk her safe, if dull, future for an adventure that could lead to happiness, passion, and true love. (18 pages; sweet; The Wild Rose Press, English Tea Rose line)

THE FATEFUL KNIGHT (Contemporary Paranormal Romance). How many times have you said "I'm looking for a fast, funny, romantic read featuring time travel, two bickering but made-for-each-other leads, a smelly villain and a haunted suit of armor?" Lots of times, right? Well, me too! And that's why I wrote THE FATEFUL KNIGHT ( 45 pages; sweet; The Wild Rose Press, Faery Rose line).

Beth Reynolds is a nut for all things medieval, so when she finds what she believes is a genuine gauntlet from a suit of armor at a collectibles show, she’s ecstatic. But someone else has his eye on the battered metal glove; a hot young guy who seems overly desperate to make the piece his. Though attracted to Hal Lawrence, Beth wants the gauntlet more and after a tussle, she walks off with the treasure. A big mistake, she soon learns, as horrible nightmares plague her, bloody images of an attack on a knight of old and his lady. What’s more, the chilling dreams center on the gauntlet, which seems to possess supernatural powers. Only the guy she stole the gauntlet from can help her. Soon, sparks fly between the two --and from the gauntlet--as they're sent on a journey across time. Will they succeed in their quest to restore the gauntlet to its rightful owner? Or will its curse mean an end to their growing love—and their lives?
